on the special occasion of World Blood Donor Day 2025 and the 4th Anniversary of the Nepalese Blood Donors Association Japan (NBDAJ), we successfully organized two meaningful programs:
1️⃣ Blood Donation Awareness Program at Paletto Kumoji
We distributed NBDAJ pamphlets and heart-shaped balloons from the Japanese Red Cross marked with “Think 献血“to encourage people to donate blood. Using a microphone, we gave speeches about the importance of blood donation and were able to reach many people throughout the event.We the volunteers were standing with the banners written “献血はいつでもどこでも誰でも出来る” and” One Family One Donor”.
Not only the Japanese but we were able to attract the tourists who were walking around and they took photo of us and our activities.
We also shared information about our upcoming blood donation event at Naha Main Place on June 28.
A heartwarming moment was when local elementary school students from the 対馬丸合唱団 (Tsushimamaru Children’s Choir)sang a beautiful peace song, adding charm and meaning to the event.
2️⃣ NBDAJ Activity Report (2023–2025) & Youth Donor Workshop
In the activities report we presented the activities form June 2023 to June 2025 . We have conducted 35 blood donation program,10 Collaboration blood donation , mad many blood donation awareness program. We are able to make join 500 new foreigners blood donors.We are able to reach 5000 people directly and more than 2 thousands people indirectly in Japan. Not only in okinawa we have now reached to 30 prefecture of Japan . We have also translated the Japanese Medical guidelines used at the blood donation room in Japan in English. Which we have given to 30 blood donation room in japan including Japanese Red Cross Okinawa Chapter. We have put the pamphlets of our organization which describes the activities and goal of our organization in different places of JICA Okinawa, Naha city office, Naha city citizens activities center,Naha city social welfare council ,Okinawa University, Wakasa community center and blood donation room in Okinawa and out side the Okinawa like Shizuoka ,Yamaguchi,Tokushima,Gifu, etc.
Also In 2024 we were able to get the subsidy from Naha Citizens Activities Center of 27500 which we used to make the Website of NBDAJ,Pamphlets,英語問診票、のぼり、flex,etc.
At Wakasa Community Center, we presented the NBDAJ Activities Report (June,2023–June,2025)and conducted a workshop on how to increase young blood donors in Okinawa and across Japan.
Many inspiring ideas like
-to give award in to the blood donors in Company,University
-to make the photo booths frame at the blood donation room.
-to give the certificate to the donors, etc
were shared, and we hope to implement them in our future activities.
we also hand over the English Medical Questionnaires which we have made to the representative of the Japanese Red Cross Okinawa chapter.
