On November 30, 2024, the Nepalese Blood Donors Association Japan (NABDAJ) conducted a Blood Donation & Awareness Program in Tottori Prefecture as part of our 47 Prefectures Blood Donation Project. One representative traveled from Okinawa to carry out this activity.
During the event, we provided English explanations of the medical questionnaire to the blood donation room staff. The staff members were very happy to receive this information and guided us with kindness, politeness, and professionalism throughout the visit.
Compared to other blood donation rooms we have visited, the Tottori donation room had fewer beds(may be 6-7 beds), but the warm hospitality and careful attention from the staff made the experience very comfortable.
The post-donation gift corner used a self-selection system, and the variety of items available was greater than in many other blood donation rooms. Additionally, there was a special original goods corner created by the Tottori City Red Cross Volunteer Group, which added a unique and welcoming atmosphere.

Through this activity in Tottori, we were able to learn more about the local community and strengthen our mission of connecting foreign residents with Japan’s blood donation system. We will continue our journey across all 47 prefectures to promote awareness and voluntary blood donation.
