BLOOD DONATION &AWARENESS PROGRAM IN SHIMANE (47都道府県で献血と啓発運動)

On November 9, 2024, the Nepalese Blood Donors Association Japan (NABDAJ) conducted a Blood Donation & Awareness Program at the Blood Donation Room “Dan Dan” in Shimane Prefecture, as part of our ongoing 47 Prefectures Blood Donation Project.

One representative traveled all the way from Okinawa to Shimane, and another international student also joined and supported the event.

During this program, we provided explanations of the medical questionnaire to the staff of the donation room.
The staff appreciated the session very much, and it became a positive learning exchange about how to better assist foreign donors.

We also researched the foreign population in Shimane Prefecture and found that most foreign residents are from Brazil, and approximately 400–500 Nepalese people currently live in Shimane.

Through this activity in Shimane, we aim to continue building stronger connections between foreign residents and Japan’s medical services while promoting the spirit of voluntary blood donation.
